Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Film and Television Content Sales to lead and expand our content sales division. This executive role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue from film and television content. The VP will oversee the sales team, build and maintain relationships with key clients, and drive the acquisition and distribution of content across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth for film and television content.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including emerging markets and innovative distribution channels.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and business decisions.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including broadcasters, streaming platforms, distributors, and content buyers.
- Negotiate and secure high-value distribution deals and licensing agreements for film and television content.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Sales Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of sales staff to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing strategies to achieve sales targets and improve effectiveness.
Revenue Optimization:
- Develop pricing strategies and sales models to maximize revenue and profitability for content sales.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to meet revenue goals.
- Manage the sales budget and allocate resources effectively to support sales initiatives and growth.
Market Expansion and Networking:
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote content and build industry connections.
- Collaborate with international partners and explore opportunities for content distribution in global markets.
- Stay informed about industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting content sales.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making and enhance sales performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Film & Television, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior sales role within the film and television industry, with a strong track record of successful content sales and revenue growth.
- In-depth knowledge of content distribution channels, licensing agreements, and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and developing a sales team.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
