Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Production Assistant to join our team for various media formats, including episodic series, feature films, documentaries, and other projects. The Production Assistant will provide crucial support across all stages of production, helping to ensure smooth and efficient operations on set. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Set Support:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and sets, including moving gear and arranging props.
- Help manage the day-to-day operations on set, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to schedule.
- Provide support to cast and crew, including distributing scripts, call sheets, and other essential documents.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, coordinating meetings, and managing production paperwork.
- Handle various clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and organizing production records.
- Manage and distribute daily production reports and updates to relevant team members.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a liaison between different departments, facilitating clear communication and efficient workflow.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for location shoots, including securing permits, arranging transportation, and managing accommodations.
- Support the Production Manager and Assistant Director in coordinating crew and cast schedules.
Logistical Support:
- Help with the procurement and organization of production materials and supplies.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking and maintaining production assets and equipment.
- Handle various logistical tasks, such as organizing meals, catering, and coordinating transportation.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability:
- Address and resolve minor issues that arise on set, finding practical solutions to keep production running smoothly.
- Adapt to changes in production needs or schedules, providing flexible support as required.

Health and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols on set, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist with implementing safety procedures and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in film, television, or media production is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Production Assistant or in a similar support role is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Basic understanding of film and television production processes is advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with production equipment and set operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
